Urban Decay Book of Shadows IV Swatches and Review

Hey Everyone!
I have been away for a while. You all do not know how busy I have been. It's hard juggling school and work, while still maintaining good grades. Now that my class is over, I have a little more free time. Of course, I am still a shopper and a lover of fashion. I think every week, I am eyeing something from Hautelook. Lately, they have deals on all the things I love like Urban Decay. I have been looking at UD Palettes for a while and debating if I should get Naked 2, or another palette instead. Everyone has told me that Naked 1 is better than Naked 2 so I was on the fence about getting Naked 2. Then when I realized that their Book of Shadows IV came with a mini speaker, I was sold on that alone. I WANTED THAT SPEAKER BADLY!! HaHa! The reviews have not been that great about this palette either :-( I've heard that the previous Book of Shadows were much better than IV, the book did not have the greatest colors, and some of the shadows were poorly pigmented. When I saw this palette at Hautelook for under $30, I ordered it so fast with no hesitation. I was floored at how great of a deal it was.
The palette includes 16 Eyeshadows, full-size 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, travel-size Eyeshadow Primer Potion, and a travel-size Supercurl Curling Mascara

Overall, I am so happy with my purchase. So you can get an idea of how the shades may look on you, I am a MAC NC45 gal. I would consider my complexion to be medium light. All the Eyeshadows add some color with the exception of "Missionary". With my complexion this eyeshadow is almost nude on me. It barely adds any color to my lids, so I just use this particular one for blending instead. Some colors are more pigmented than others which I would consider to be the top 12 eyeshadows in this palette which happens to be the darker colors. The lighter shadows (bottom 4) are not as pigmented, but are still great colors that can easily add some neutral eye color.
This is Urban Decay's description of the colors:
"Baked (shimmering bright copper),
Bender (shimmering dark mossy green),
Blue Bus (bright blue w/ purple shimmer),
Bust (taupe brown w/subtle gray shimmer),

Crystal (light silvery blue w/multi-dimensional shimmer),
Gravity (deep vibrant purple w/ multi-dimensional glitter),
Gunmetal (dark metallic silver w/silver sparkle),
Hijack (greyish green w/blue and green shimmer),
Lost (shimmering dark brown),
Midnight Cowgirl (shimmering gold w/gold sparkle),

If you click on the link above, you can purchase this same palette which is on sale at Urban Decay's site too!
I love my speaker and the sound is not that bad. Of course, it isn't Bose but its more than I expected so I'm a happy customer. Also, what can you expect? You're pretty much getting a whole makeup kit for $29 (w/ UD's promo code), so I say jump on this deal while you can. Also if you are not a Hautelook customer, feel free to join using my link here. To sign up, it's free with no fees. You only pay for items that you purchase when you decide to make a purchase (Monthly/Weekly/Daily memberships are not for me personally). I know what it feels like to use someone's link and they don't want to help you on how the site works, so I am here if you have any questions

Thanks for stopping by, XOXO
