OOTD w/ OCC, ASOS ♥ JewelMint Celestial Wreath

I was suppose to make a post on this a few days ago but I completely forget (Ooops!) This was my Valentine's OOTD. I wanted to jazz things up, but not too over the top. I have had JewelMint Celestial Wreath necklace for a while, but never wore it. Valentine's was my chance to try and style it. Since the necklace speaks for itself, I did not want too much bling with my earrings. JewelMint Versailles would have been nice but I wanted my necklace to stand out over my earrings so I opt for JewelMint Diving Belle which I am also wearing for the first time. The blue in the necklace and earrings are similar.

                      Yes, Diving Belle Earrings may be a little heavy for some. Luckily for myself, they are not bothersome at all. I've had my ears pierced since I was a baby and my hole is not too low on my ear. I believe that may be why I can wear heavier earrings. Thanks God-Mom!!! The earrings are simple and unique. They look like my belly button ring which I thought was a little weird at first, but now I feel differently.

                     Celestial Wreath necklace is really classy, elegant, and so pretty. It's shocking to know that JewelMint made pieces like this. I heard that when JewelMint started making jewelry, their pieces were heavier and made with a higher quality. I have a few of their older items and I have to agree. Their newer items are beautiful too, but sometimes the jewelry doesn't seem worth 29.99. This is a jaw dropping necklace.

          I have always wanted a bright clutch and something that really popped. I wasn't sure if I wanted a green, pink, or yellow on though. Since I love pink lips and nails, I picked pink as my first bright colored clutch. It's a sexy clutch that I actually can wear all year round. It's so lush and hot. I purchased this a while ago and I am just getting around to wearing it. Luckily, it is still available for purchase ♥

OCC Something Nail Lacquer Review

OCC has always had the best makeup items. Their prices are reasonable, quality is amazing, and their customer service is always superb. I will be a OCC customer forever! 

I already have their Pool Boy which is a similar shade of blue, but there is something different about Something. (HAHA! That sounds odd saying that. LOL) If you want to make a comparison, here is what Pool Boy looks like in comparison to Something. Something is more of a pale/pastel sky blue, while Something is more of aqua blue. Both are very beautiful and so pretty. I love OCC!

**I used 2 coats, with a base and top coat. There was no streaking and the coverage was amazing like all of my OCC nail lacquers***

Valentine's Day Nails ♥ OCC Radiate

I purchased this bottle when I did my last OCC(Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics) Haul. I have been holding out for a while to wear this polish and the time has finally come. I love bright nail polish lacquers and I thought this was a really pretty color for Valentine's Day. I checked my collection to find something close to this color and found nothing. This is definitely one of a kind and I love that since I have so many colors that are similar in shade.

OCC describes Radiate as a matte UV Red. 

The color is a neon red with a hint of orange

I used two coats of Radiate, then added one coat of NYX Dreamy as a top coat. 

I love both looks and think they both are perfect for Valentine's Day.

OCC Wasabi & Bitmap Review

I have heard all great things about OCC's Loose Colours Concentrates and always wanted to give them a try. I never got around to doing so until recently. OCC had a 20% off sale so I thought this was my chance to try something different and I purchased my first Loose Colour Concentrate. I love shades of green all year round, so I gave Bitmap a try which is described as a Mossy Gold Shimmer.

I love the color because it is not too dark of a green, too bright, or too pale of a green. I can see the hints of gold shimmer especially when I blend the colour concentrate out a little more. OCC explains that their loose colours can be worn anywhere on the body including cheeks, eyes, and lips. I will only be trying this color as a eye shadow and cannot wait to wear it out. 

I also purchased Wasabi Nail Lacquer from OCC as well since they were having such a great sale. Wasabi reminds me a little of Crescent Heights from American Apparel which I blogged about not too long ago.

This color "Wasabi" makes me want Sushi. The green is so unique, like all of their Nail Lacquer's which is the reason I continue to come back for more and more ♥. 

OCC Ghostly Nail Lacquer Review

OCC (Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics) recently had a sale that I could not pass up. They changed the design of their bottles so they wanted to get rid of the older style bottles. 

They had a sale on the older bottles to make room for the newbies and I racked up! This is the first from my haul and it's called GHOSTLY.

It's a really soft pale lilac. I love it, along with my others polish from OCC. GHOSTLY is girly and cute. I feel like a princess with this polish. 

GHOSTLY came in one of  the newer bottle designs because after I made my purchased, OCC sold out of my lacquer. As a result, they was nice enough to send me the same polish in their newer bottle instead. 

This is why I will always love OCC (Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics) !!! 

They really know how to treat their customers and that is very important to me ♥

OCC INKY Review

I am in love with OCC Lip Tars and their Nail Lacquer. Someone I know loves dark polish, so any chance that I get to grab a dark polish, I jump on it immediately. I purchased this polish a while back and just got around to actually wearing it. I wasn't going to do a post on the polish because I thought it was discontinued but luckily for you, it is not.

At first glance, it looks black.

OCC describes the polish as a almost blue-black color. I would say the polish is blue for certain.

When I polished my nails, I accidentally hit something so I had to redo 1 nail. When I removed the polish from my nail, I found out why the polish is called INKY. This is really like ink and doesn't come off! I even tried using pure acetone, but yet the polish was still on my nails. 

Since my nails looked so lush, I decided to let this polish have its wear. This polish lasted for over 4 days and all I have to say is WOW!!! I was so very pleased once again with OCC.

I knew when it was time to remove the polish, I was going to have a major task on my hand. When I did remove the polish, I had just the right thing to correct my nail bed. I remembered I purchased this a while back when I was wearing black nails for a few weeks. I knew that it worked really well then so I gave it another try now.

A.S.P. Whitening Nail Paste

In the box comes the whitening paste which looks like a mini toothpaste tube and a nail brush. As I was squeezing the tube, no paste was coming out. I had to cut the tube in half to get any product out because I realized the Whitening Paste had hardened a little since I last used it. I pulled out as much product as I could with my fingers. 

After I got a little of the paste out, I put it on my wet nail brush and scrubbed away. Once again, it was a success. All of the dark polish was removed from my nails. 

Now I am on the search for a new whitening nail paste. Hopefully I can find something that will not thicken or harden after one use though :-(

Black and White with Turquoise Pumps

This past weekend was Homecoming at Norfolk State University which is my alma mater. I decided to get out and enjoy a little. I wanted to wear some pieces that I had, but haven't had the opportunity to wear yet. This was my perfect chance to do so.....

I knew that I wanted a pump with a slighter wider heel so when I saw these, I had to purchase them. They are the heel height that I love and I had no turquoise pumps in my collection so these were PERFECT!! They are comfortable and still sexy at the same time.
