NYX Liquid Suede ft. Tea & Cookies, Sandstorm, & Amethyst

Hello Everyone! When I saw these were launching, I wanted to give them a try until I researched a little more and found some not so good reviews on Instragram. Once my friend mentioned getting a few, it's like everyone started posting about them with great things to say. Since their reviews were great, I figured that I would give them a try myself. I am so glad that I did because these NYX Liquid Suede Lippies are AMAZING!!!
I purchased Tea & Cookies, Sandstorm, and Amethyst. I think that Sandstorm is probably my favorite. What do you think?

Tea & Cookies
Sandstorm
Amethyst
These were taken in Natural Light and I only needed one swatch. They are very pigmented as you can see. I love these because they try to be a non-drying matte. Even though they are not kiss proof, the color really pays off. I am in LOVE♡

*I am a NC45 by MAC for shade comparison*

Pretty Zombie Cosmetics '3 Witches' DUPE ALERT!

Hey Everyone. I just grabbed NYX NEW Liquid Suede in Amethyst. As I was swatching it, I knew the color was similar to another color and brand that I love. The color is Pretty Zombie Cosmetics in the shade '3 Witches'
These two colors are dead on. I had to share with you a side-by-side comparison. They both are Matte (Pretty Zombie is a bit more drying and more smudge proof). The huge difference is the NYX is $6.99 from Ulta while Pretty Zombie is $12.00. I am so happy I found a great dupe because '3 Witches' is one of my favorites!

Natural Light. No Filter.

NEW NYX Intense Butter Glosses

When I saw that NYX was coming out with INTENSE Butter Glosses I was beyond excited. I only have one of their original Butter Glosses so getting a few of these were a must. All I can say is WOW! These are amazing. They still feel great on the lips like the original glosses, but they are more pigmented than ever. I have to grab a few more of these babes.
Berry Strudel
Tres Leches
Spice Cake
Black Cherry Tart
I am a NC45 by MAC for comparison and and I took these photos with the flash because it shows the truest of the colors. Also I purchased these from Ulta.

Have you grabbed any of these? What are your thoughts?

MAC A Novel Romance 'LINGERING KISS' Dupe !!

Ladies, I have found the perfect match to MAC's Lingering Kiss lipstick and No it is not Talk that Talk which is also by MAC. If you aren't aware, their new collection 'A Novel Romance' was released this week. The first and only color I had my heart set on was this one. The color is so rich and perfect for fall which is right around the corner. It was a must have for me!
You will never believe what brand and lipstick is the dupe for Lingering Kiss.
Natural Light: (top)Dupe (bottom)Lingering Kiss
Artificial Light: (top)Dupe (bottom)Lingering Kiss
As you can see in Natural light, they are almost identical. You probably couldn't tell the difference could you? In Artificial light, the textures of the lipsticks are different. The Dupe isn't a matte whereas Lingering Kiss is a true matte. To change the texture of any non-matte lipstick to a matte, add a little translucent powder after applying the lipstick, and Walah!
Matte lipstick it is♡
The Dupe for Lingering Kiss is...

NYX Decadent

I purchased mines from Cherry Culture some time ago but cannot find it there now. However, I was able to find the lipstick on eBay (some of the buyers have different so I'm not sure if the shade is too), and HERE. If any of you ladies currently have this color or can track it down, please grab it. It's such a beautiful color. They both are :)

Inexpensive Spring/Summer Lippies!

Orange Tint
(very top) Pink Tint
(underneath Pink Tint) Lavender Tint
 (gold tube)African Violet
(black tube)Shocking Pink
NK Orange Tint
NK Pink Tink
NK Lavender Tint
Black Radiance African Violet
NYX Shocking Pink
Hey Luves! It seems like posting these pictures was never going to happen. I'm not sure why but my camera would not pick up on the true colors so I had to use my iPhone instead. The swatches are pretty dead on thankfully. Ok, so I have been seeing NK colors everywhere. I already owned Pink Tint which I love so I decided to add Lavender and Orange Tint to the family. I saw a few people wearing the Lavender and it looked great and pigmented on them so why not. After purchasing it for myself, I KNOW they used a primer or something else to alter the color of the lippie. Don't get me wrong, the colors are nice but they are not highly pigmented. They feel like Revlon Lip Butter so they're very smooth and silky, but they don't have a whole lot of color. The Lavender is pretty, but the Orange disappointed me a lot. The lipstick is very bright and festive as you can see above, but once applied it is  dull :( These lippies were only 99c at my local BSS but they are available online for $1.49!

Next up is African Violet by Black Radiance. Ladies! OMG. Grab this today if you can. It was only 1.99 at my local Rite Aid and it's amazing. It's also very smooth AND has a lot of pigmentation. It's unreal how amazing the color is. It reminds me a little of Hoochie by OCC believe it or not even though it's not close to being a dupe.

Last but not least is NYX Shocking Pink. I kept telling myself for months that I did NOT need this lipstick. I lied! I needed it and I'm glad that I got it for only $5. It's a matte but not drying at all. Some have compared this to Candy Yum Yum by MAC (which I don't own) but I could tell as soon as I saw the tube that it was nothing close to Candy Yum Yum. I've seen that color and it's a bright florescent pink. Shocking Pink it not but it is still a gorgeous pink.

What are you favorite lippies for the season?

My 1st ever GLAM BAG!

I've heard so many things about IPSY Glam Bag but was never really interested in getting. I have way too many cosmetics and beauty items so adding more to my collection not necessary. However when my friend showed me her November bag and explained how she loved the items I thought WHY NOT?
It's a monthly subscription that only costs $10 a month (of course you can cancel at anytime). You get a mix of deluxe sample and full sized items in each bag. Here in my 1st bag I received:
NYX Pearl Shadow in "Charcoal Pearl", Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Pencil in "Zero", Mirabella Prime for Face and Eyes, Mai Couture highlight papier, and Be A Bombshell lip gloss in "Hot Mess" Everything comes in a cute zippered cosmetic bag that ironically reminds me of the NYX shadow I received this month..
This will look great over any red lipstick or stain.
I love it and it's not sticky at all!
You can see the shimmer on the paper
Under my left eye I am wearing the highlight papier
(no product was used on my right eye)
Look at all the shimmer. Wow!
(l-r)
The primer is a clear gel(I will use as an eye primer only)
Zero glides on smoothly and it's a matte black just like I wanted
Pearl Mania is perfect for the holidays and pretty pigmented
The item I was most excited about receiving was the UD 24/7 Glide on Pencil. I purchased their same pencil but in the color Pervusion which is an out of this world beyond black. I didn't know "Zero" existed and was a step down from the blackest black Pervusion which is why I wanted to try the shade but thought I'd just wait it out. Luckily for me I received it in my bag. Yay!

Just to show you how good of a deal the $10 Glam Bag is I'm going to give you a break down of what each item sells for when purchased separately:

The UD Pencil is half size in the bag so I received approximately $8 product. The highlight papier in the bag is only 25 sheets so that's about $14 worth of product (I love math, LOL) Even after calculating the actual sizes that I received, paying $10 for this bag is BEYOND a great deal! I am very happy that I decided to join when I did and cannot wait to see what next month has to offer

NYX True Navy Review & Swatches

Hola! One of my subbies sent me a message in Espanol so I just felt the need to say that. HaHa! How are you guys and gals doing? I have another NYX post for you. I have mentioned this time and time again but I really love NYX! It's a great brand to shop on a budget or if you're looking for a quality product at a great price. Fits me so I'll say YES to NYX. Cherry Culture had a sale so I decided to pick up some NYX lip colors as well and nail colors. I want to show you this beautiful nail color that I grabbed. It's called True Navy!
My thoughts: It's called "True Navy"but the polish actually
isn't that dark in my opinion.
It is a beautiful blue, but not really navy.
The color reminds me of Sally Hansen's Pacific Blue.
It is a few shades darker but I see the similarities
in the colors.
If you're in light True Navy is not really dark.
Overall I am satisfied with the polish and the results
because it's a gorgeous color regardless.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Review

Hey Everyone! I wanted to show you my NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams that I purchased from Hautelook. I am in love with these. When NYX said they were soft, they meant they were soft. LOL! The one I have been eyeing is Amsterdam which is a matte Red.
When I saw Hautelook had Amsterdam with other colors available in a bundle, I had to jump at the offer and I'm glad that I did. The lip creams are moisturizing and smooth. I love grabbing these because they are super easy to apply and I don't have to worry about a lip brush if I don't want because applying them are a breeze. These are one of a kind for me. I own matte lipstick, but they are not soft like these. Don't get me wrong, I love them all but the lip creams are a different texture from the others.

Flash
No Flash
Istanbul
Amsterdam
Addis Ababa
The set included 5 lip creams, but I couldn't find Istanbul for the hand swatch :-( It is my favorite of all the lip creams because it's perfect pink and goes well with anything I wear. FYI: I later found it and in all places it was in my cosmetic bag. Duh! Not sure why I didn't check there first

My NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams were $18 for a set of 5 from Hautelook! They usually average at $6 each so purchasing from Hautelook is a huge savings. If you are not a Hautelook customer, feel free to join using my link HERE . To sign up, it's free with no fees. You only pay for items that you purchase when, or if you decide to make a purchase (Monthly/Weekly/Daily memberships are not for me personally *smile* )

  • JewelMint Pin Up Necklace
  • Juicy Couture PavĂ© Heart Stud Earrings
  • BaubleBar Lemon Cushion Cut Studs

NYX Girls Polish Swatches and Review -- PART II

I am just remembering that I did not do a post for the most recent items that I purchased.
I am sorry this is a few days late.
My class is ending shortly so I am busy busy busy! Also, it's allergy season and it's kicking my butt.
Every year I go through this and will probably continue to go through this forever.
It would be nice to get allergy shots like everyone else, but the process for that is a headache.
All the pricking and sticking is too extreme to me. I'll just stick with Benadryl. LOL
Anyhow, I love NYX Girls Polish so much that I decided to purchase some more and
I'm pretty happy with what I selected, other than the dupes. I really do not like dupes.
(l-r)Pink Note, Pimp My Nail, Plain Jane, Between Mauve and Purple, My Sunshine, Forever 1989
I love Cotton Candy and this polish makes me want some.
Yum ! This pink is so girly and cute. I was worried that this would
be a dup because I have sooooo many pink polishes,
but I was jumping up and down because it's not.
I cannot wait to wear her. She's so me
NYX Pimp My Nail has some similarities to China Glaze Spontaneous. They both are a bold bright green, but  China Glaze is more fluorescent while NYX is a little darker. If you want nails that pop, either one of these polishes will work. I love green nails!
How hot is this polish? VERY! Usually a nude polish comes off too sheer, or the color is a little off but this is right on. It's such a  fun, but classy and unique nude (beige). This blew me off my feet. Wow!
Such a beautiful color that I can wear all year round. I would say that these two are dead on dupes.
I cannot say that NYX is a dup for China Glaze or vice versa because the prices
are comparable depending on if you catch China Glaze on sale. When looking at the colors,
you cannot tell the different between China Glaze Spontaneous and NYX Between Mauve and Purple,
which BTW looks purple without Mauve.
It is really hard for me to find different shades of yellow polish.
I remember purchasing two yellow polishes from other brands,
but I realized after I got them home they both had shimmer which is not what I wanted.
Thank goodness, this is a creme yellow with a hint of orange.
It's really reminds me of sunshine and I am really pleased with this color.
Exactly what I wanted and it's not too bright. So vibrant and pretty.
Reminds me of the beach and lots of fun!
Here was another dead on dup. NYX Forever 1989 reminds me of a pumpkin orange,
or retro color from 1989 (Yes, I remember that year. LOL).
Online, I thought the color was going to be brighter, but its really toned down orange.
There is no difference between NYX and Finger Paints Tangerine Mist that I already owned.
It's kinda of a bummer but at least I know that I'll have a backup if I need one :-)

Overall, I love love and LOVE NYX Nail Polish and all of their items. The price is amazing and cannot be beat. The quality is great too. I feel like you can never go wrong with NYX, or at least I haven't ♥

Thanks for stopping by, XOXO

NYX Girls Polish Swatches and Review -- PART I

I was searching for 3D, Flecks, or Flakes polish. I first heard about the special polish from my Facebook and Blog Friend Fhauling4You, when she mentioned Finger Paints Special Effects Polish. I searched my local Sally's Beauty and they did not have any in stock. I decided to come home and do what I can do best and that is search the web. LOL! After a few minutes, I found a site called Cherry Culture and they have lots and lots of what I love...MAKEUP and POLISH!! They had a sale and I went crazy getting as much polish that I could.  It was a good day to show you swatches because I wanted to try out my new camera. I can tell such a huge difference in my photos. I'm really excited and happy, so let me show you what I purchased.....
NYX Pistachio - A very cool Blue. Almost close to Tiffany Blue, but not quite
NYX Sour Lime - Shimmery Lime Green
NYX Lapis - Reminds me of a Periwinkle Blue. The color is amazing

NYX Peach Ave (over Orly's Pure Porcelain) - The Flakes are hard to pick up on the brush,
BUT once you grab them, the polish is Beautiful. The flakes are Chunky & Iridescent Blue in color. Love!

NYX Blue Ave (over Orly's Pure Porcelain) - The smallest flakes of them all, but still cute and very subtle.
The flakes are pink and sky blue in color, but more pink
NYX Frizz Spots (over Orly's Liquid Vinyl) - This is so pretty. Since the tint of the polish is black,
I think this will only work with a dark nail polish color like Black or Navy.  One of my FAVs!
NYX Gilded Glitter (over Orly's Liquid Vinyl) - I'm not a gold gal, but I love this gold.
The specks are larger than average glitter so I will consider this to be a flakes polish
NYX Dream Glitter (over Lapis) - This is my top choice. It picks up over all polish colors and
the flakes are all shapes including Stars. How cute !!

I am really happy with my purchase. I remember when I went to Sally's asking for Finger Paints and when I said "Flecks Polish", the employee looked very puzzled, so to not confuse anyone, I'll say Flakes Polish. Also since the top coats that I used has specks that are larger than tiny specks of glitter, Flakes is the perfect name. I am so glad I found this site and they had everything I was searching for. Such a great purchase and a must have to add to your collection. I'm a happy gal
